The Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Dotun Sanusi has called on members of the JDS Support Groups and his over one million followers nationwide to prioritize obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and commence intensive grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement personally signed by the renowned philanthropist and released through his media team, Sanusi urged all support groups to channel their energy into voter registration, PVC collection, and structured door-to-door campaigns.

He mandated his followers to actively canvass support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, the Oyo State gubernatorial ambition of Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and all other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said, “The strength of any political movement lies not merely in its numerical strength but in its ability to translate popular support into legitimate votes at the ballot box.”

He charged coordinators and members of the various JDS Support Groups to take the message directly to their respective communities, wards, and local government areas, ensuring that eligible voters are fully prepared to exercise their civic rights.

He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deliver a transparent, credible, and inclusive process, while urging security agencies to maintain professionalism, protect voters, and safeguard citizens throughout the electoral timeline.

Reaffirming his commitment to community development and youth empowerment, Sanusi stressed that sustainable political progress must be driven by collective civic action.

“Get your PVC, engage your communities, take the message door to door and get ready to vote. Our collective strength must be demonstrated through active participation in the democratic process”, he added.
