Oyo Speaker urges Ex-council bosses to remain steadfast, committed to party ideals

The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has charged immediate past local government chairmen in the state to remain steadfast to the ideals of the ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

He gave the charge when some immediate past Local Government Chairmen in the state paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Parliament Building Secretariat, Ibadan.

The delegation was led to the office of the Speaker by Hon. Gbadamosi Adeyemi, former Lagelu LG Chairman.

The Speaker said irrespective of schemings that may be going on in some quarters, the immediate past local government Chairmen must continue to champion the course of the party at all levels.

He stressed that the PDP remains the strongest party in Oyo State and will be the party to best in 2027.

Speaking on the essence of the visit, the Immediate past Chairman of Lagelu, Hon Adeyemi who led the delegation, said they visited the Speaker to reaffirm their membership and loyalty to the PDP, while also celebrating the Speaker’s birthday.

The former Chairmen, who had also met with the leadership of the party at the PDP State Secretariat, praised the Speaker for his exceptional leadership qualities and pledged to remain committed members of the PDP, despite rumors suggesting otherwise.

They appreciated the Speaker’s sterling leadership roles and qualities, acknowledging the party’s strength in Oyo State.

The delegation included former Chairmen, such as Hon. Adeoye Adedoyin (Ibarapa Central), Hon. Gbenga Obalowo (Ibarapa East), Hon. Olaide Settle (Oluyole), Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo (Afijio), Hon. Sanusi Musibau Shaba (Ona-Ara), and Hon. Kabiru (Ogbomoso North).
