Makinde makes appointment into LG Service Commission, Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Chairman and members for the Oyo State Local Government Commission as well as additional members for the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing).

Recall that the Governor had earlier appointed Alhaji Hashim Atere and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Olokuta as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) respectively.

According to a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, those appointed into the Local Government Commission are: Hon. Akinwale Akinwole (Chairman), Mr. Yusuf Ali Akinkunmi (full-time member), Alhaji Oke Taiwo (full-time member), Mr. John Abisoye Adisa-Oke (part-time member) and Mrs Nike Arewa (part-time member).

The appointment will take effect after the confirmation by the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The new members of Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) are, Abdu Rahman Agbotomokekere, Amusat Ayyub Agboola, Dawud Afolabi, Latifat Dairo and Mallam Abdusallam Abdullateef.

The appointments are with immediate effect.

The governor, while congratulating the new appointees, counseled them to see their appointment as a call to service. The appointments are with immediate effect.
