The Registrar of the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies, Prof. Eze Nwauba has assured Nigerians of its readiness to continue presenting more Nigerians who have been found worthy to have the Honourary Doctorate Award in their field of endeavours to Prowess University, Delaware, USA.
Professor Nwauba stated this at the book lunch and award ceremony organized by Uniplan Intergrated Services Limited where eminent personalities and distinguish Nigerians were presented with Honourary Award in various fields of their endeavors.
He urged the recipients of the award to continue to build on their existing qualities and knowledge, to make the institution who found them worth proud and for the development of Nigeria.
He said that the University want good ambassadors and would not hesitate to withdraw it certificate if anyone is found in any act that can tarnish the image of the institution.
Prof. Nwauba congratulated all the graduates and wished them success in their future endeavours.
In his welcome address, the Convener, Dr Kunle Awotiku, CEO of Uniplan Integrated Services Limited, said “one of my dreams is to ensure that we create employment in Nigeria, and I am telling you that is what we have been doing for years. we are the ones to make Nigeria better, Let you and I pay our part, our role in ensuring that this nation is celebrated.”
The 58 pages book titled “Niche; Navigating the intricacies of career heights effortlessly”, was launched and graduates in various fields were decorated with excellent, service, fellowship , and honorary doctorate award.
He enjoined the recipients of the award to imbibe great qualities that will help in taking Nigeria to the desired level among member countries.
The guest speaker at the event a Professor and Dean, University of Ibadan, Prof. Matthew Oyeyemi extensively discussed on the theme, Innovation and Adaptation: the role of Strategic Planning in driving Organisational change, explained how many organisations can be restructured and made better.
Professor Oyeyemi said many organisations in Nigeria have the potential to do well but without innovative strategies a lot may not be achieved.
He also said that a clear and creative company culture is always the first step which will bring about the needed development in Nigeria.
Oyeyemi said with an established team that reinforces this culture, it is possible for the employees to be agile and constantly learn the company roles and operation guidelines.
The University Don, also stated further “that Organizational adaptability reflects how quickly organizations can adjust their business processes and improvise themselves to achieve their goals, in short, adaptability is essential for competitive advantage”.
The don pointed out that a workable and successful strategic planning will examine and make informed projections about environmental realities to help an organization anticipate and respond to change by classifying its mission and goals.
“Innovation, the process of bringing about new ideas requires collaboration, ideation, implementation and value creation. Employees who continue to grow contribute significantly to the company’s ongoing innovation and development.
Prof. Oyeyemi also spoke about the importance of Artificial intelligence in organisational development, and the gaps it is creating in the human minds and critical thinking that will further leave a negative mark in our society.
