Despite rain, dignitaries, residents storm Olubadan Palace commissioning

Dignitaries from all walks of life on Wednesday turned out in large number to celebrate and honor the ancient city, the Olubadan stool as they witness the commissioning of the newly built Olubadan Palace.

 

The new structure is located at the Oke Aremo area of the capital city.

 

The Dignitaries all defiled the torrential rain to attend the event.

 

The commission was initially billed to commence at 10AM was later shifted to 3PM.

 

The event awaits the arrival of Governor Seyi Makinde and the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.

 

Some of the dignitaries who have arrived the Oke Aremo Palace venue include: the Deputy Governor, Bar. Bayo Lawal, top government functionaries.

 

As at the time of this report some member of the Olubadan-in-Council have arrived for the event.

 

Others include: Ex-First Lady, Mutiat Ladoja, Hazeem Gbolarunmi, Chief Adebayo Akande and his wife, Chief Mrs Onikepo, former Presidents General ofbthe CCII, Chief Bayo Oyero, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole, Senator Kola Baolgun, former Minister of Sports, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, among others.
