3SC, Gateway Clash as Late Philip Boamah Begins Final Home Journey

A friendly match between Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and Gateway FC of Abeokuta tops the line up of activities packaged in honour of a Shooting Stars legend, the late Philip Kwaku Kolawole Boamah.

 

According to the burial arrangement released by the family of the Ghanaian born ex Nigerian international, who died last December, the friendly encounter will hold on Thursday, February 15th at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

 

The friendly will hold during the lying state of the former Shooting Stars player and coach, jointly organised by the management of 3SC and the legends of IICC Shooting Stars.

 

Thursday’s activities according to the arrangement, will start by 9.00 am at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex venue of the lying in state and the friendly match.

 

Later in the evening, 1pm to be precise, there will be another lying in state at the residence of the late Boamah, No 2, Inukan Street, Gbekuba, Apata, Ibadan.

 

A service of songs will follow at Grace Extra Event Hall, Donut elegant, Gbekuba, Apata Ibadan, starting by 5pm.

 

The late Boamah’ s final home journey will be concluded on Friday, February 17, 2024, with a funeral service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oke Ado by 9am, to be followed immediately by interment.
