A philanthropist and gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Dr. Adewale Kareem, popularly called (AKK) has reiterated his commitment to implementing policies that prioritize education and human capital development.
In a statement, he explained his proposal to provide stipends to parents who enroll their children in elementary schools, saying it is a proven economic tool used globally to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy.
AKK, who has studied and worked in educational systems in Europe and Australia, emphasized that his vision is rooted in evidence-based pragmatism.
He urged Oyo state residents to trust his plan, saying it is achievable through strategic budgetary reallocation, intentionality, and structural reform.
The aspirant highlighted that this policy would not only improve education outcomes but also have a positive impact on the state’s economy and social development.
Dr Kareem lamented the skepticism and doubts surrounding his proposal, but saw it as a positive indicator of an active and vigilant population invested in the state’s trajectory. He called on citizens to engage with the mechanics of his idea and how it can transform the state.
He emphasized that his proposal is not a campaign gimmick, but a well-thought-out plan that has been successful in other countries.
AKK, who is running for governor, assured Oyo state residents of his unwavering commitment to securing the future of every child in the state, urging them to trust the process and join him in architecting an era of prosperity that leaves no student on the street and no parent behind.
He maintained that his vision for Oyo state is one of inclusivity, equity, and excellence, where every child has access to quality education and opportunities to succeed.
