A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party and Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ekiti State Chapter of the party, Hon. Dare Adeleke has said Governor Seyi Makinde is the kind of leaders that people will always request for in prayers.

He said, with his exemplary leadership lifestyles, Governor Makinde has again showed that he is sent as answer to prayers of the people for good leaders.

Adeleke gave the commendation over the weekend while fielding questions from reporters at the commissioning ceremony if the newly built Olusoji Adagunodo Southwest Zonal Secretariat.

Corenews.ng exports that the governor was joined at the event by the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Iliya Damagum, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state, former governor Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), members of the National working committee of the party, other leaders from the Zone and country at large.

The building personally funded by Governor Makinde is named after late Olusoji Adagunodo, a former Chairman of the party in the Southwest.

Governor Makinde had on the death of Adagunodo promised to build a structure and name it after him, to keep the memory alive.

Apparently motivated by the gesture, Hon Adeleke recalled that Governor Makinde is not only philanthropic with the gesture, he said he has also showed his commitment to the party more than before.

He added that, with the gesture, Governor Makinde has challenged others not to only look at what the party can do for them, but what they can also do for the party to move it forward.

He said, the Oyo state governor has showed he is not only a leader, but a leader of leaders.

Hon Adeleke said “This is another of his gesture, his philanthropic gesture and his committment to the party. The governor has already shown his trait again. That’s why he built this magnificent building for the PDP zonal.

“He built it with his personal money and he built for the goodness of the people in Southwest and Nigeria at large and that is the type of leadership we always pray for in this country.

“It’s not what people can do for you but what you can do for the people. And that’s what they call the great party man.

“The party leaders and I think it’s highly phenomenal for anybody to have done this. I want to use this opportunity to thank Governor Seyi Makinde for being a kind hearted person and being the leader of leaders.”
