There are indication that Governor Seyi Makinde will address protesting workers who are currently waiting at the Governor’s Office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.

Barring last minute change, the governor may announce a resolve on the amount to pay as wage award for the workers and Pensioners in the state.

The indication emerged when the governor upon arrival at the office, Monday morning asked that the protesting workers who have been waiting in front of the entrance gates for hours be allowed in to the drive way where he usually address crowd of visitors to the office.

It was gathered that the arrival of the governor also laid to rest the agitation that the governor hasn’t given a tacit approval on the amount to pay.

While the labour leaders are routing for something more than the N35,000 as recommended by the Federal Government, the state government, it was gathered is insisting on not been able to pay such an amount due to other exigencies.

It remains unclear what the government will offer but with the arrival of the governor, the workers are optimistic that the matter will be amicably resolved today.
