The Senior Pastor, Christ Apostolic Church, Eagle’s Wing Assembly, Wakajaye Ibadan, Pastor Joseph Akinade on Thursday said the recent happenings in the country is an indication of God proving his supremacy over all situations.
He spoke during a press conference to herald the first year anniversary of the church where he noted that the current situations across the world have showed that God is angry.
The cleric who noted that particularly, the inability of anyone foreseeing or foreknowing the recent pandemic and protests which has rocked the country also attest to the implication of shed innocent blood crying for vengeance.
He urged the people especially the Church to seek the face of God in prayers for the country while also appealing to the government to do the needful to better the lives of the citizenry.
Akinade also urged men of God to continue praying for Nigeria rather than waiting to predict the future, adding that God has shown the people his supremacy with the recent pandemic all over the world.
Giving the theme of the first year anniversary as āSoaring on an Eagleās Wingā, the cleric said the birth of the ministry is not farfetched from the current happening in the country which eventually gave birth to a redefined ministry.
He said the other activities for the celebration continue on November 1 with the grand finale slated for November 7 where the Church would thank God especially.
āWhatever this country is passing through now is very infinitesimal compared with what the Isreal as a nation passed through. We got it wrong the moment we forgot God and believed in our power to make things happen.
āWe also want to use this medium to seek or Gods intervention for absolute peace in the state and the country at large. Both the leaders and the governed must play their roles very well to have a country we will all be proud ofā, the cleric stated.
