Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Gbenga Ogunbote said his side will keep working hard to get positive results, particularly on the road
Speaking to the press after the Oluyole Warriors lost 0-2 to Remo Stars in Wednesday’s Matchday 14 clash, the sweat merchant assured of more improvement from the team.
Despite the defeat in the Southwest Derby, the Ibadan soccer lords put up a good fight in the encounter but were largely undone by poor marksmanship and momentary loss of concentration.
Ogunbote, lamented the loss of another derby saying. “It is unfortunate we lost the game.We were looking at getting it right on the road, yet another derby, we couldn’t get it right
“We will keep fighting until we get it right. But the important thing is that the boys gave a good fight. We were a little bit wasteful, ordinarily we would have been two goals up in the first half”, stated the Oracle.
The former Sunshine Stars and Enyimba FC handler, also blamed the loss on loss of concentration, which resulted in the second goal, saying. “The second goal was uncalled for, we needed not to have conceded that, we had a careless moment there.
“Even after the second goal, we were determined to fight till the end but Nigerian league is difficult playing with one man short. If we can play this much with one man short, I think when we have a complete team, we should be able to do better,” added the ex Remo Stars and Rangers International tactician.
