Oyo 2027: Group endorse Makinde ex-deputy for governor

A social-political organization, the Pacesetter Group has endorsed a former deputy governor, Rauf Olaniyan for Governor of Oyo state in 2027.

In a release made available to newsmen, the Group made reference to Olaniyan’s strong roots in Ibadan and connections across other geo-political zones, coupled with his wealth of experience and leadership qualities as basis for their decision.

The statement reads in part, “We, the undersigned, wholeheartedly endorse Engr. Olaniyan Rauf, former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, for his gubernatorial ambition. As a distinguished son of Oke Ogun, with strong roots in Ibadan and connections across other zones, Engr. Olaniyan possesses the leadership qualities, vision, and experience necessary to propel Oyo State to new heights.

“A track record of service and philanthropy: Olaniyan’s commitment to the welfare of Oyo State’s citizens is evident in his philanthropic endeavors.

“His successful engineering career has not only earned him recognition in his field but has also enabled him to give back to the community.

“His God-fearing nature has guided his actions, and he is known for his integrity, humility, and compassion.

“Leadership experience and vision: as former deputy governor, Olaniyan has demonstrated leadership acumen and a deep understanding of governance. His experience and vision for Oyo state’s development make him an ideal candidate for the gubernatorial position.”

The group called on the people of the state to join the team in supporting Olaniyan gubernatorial ambition

“Together, we can build a brighter future for our state, leveraging his leadership, experience, and commitment to service. May God bless Oyo state and guide us in our quest for progress and development”, the group noted.
