UPDATE: Soka accident: FRSC confirms four death

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State command has confirmed four persons dead with one person severely injured in an accident that occurred Tuesday morning at Soka Area of the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, Ibadan.

The Sector Commander, Mrs. Rosemary Alo while confirming the incident said the injured person had been taken to an undisclosed hospital while the bodies of the deceased, a male and three female had been deposited at Ring Road hospital, Adeoyo morgue.

The accident, according to Mrs Alo, involved seven vehicles including: two Nissan Micra taxi, two trucks, one tanker and two Toyota Camry car.

She added that all the vehicles involved in the accident were coming from the Iwo Road axis of Ibadan.

As at the time of this report, it was gathered that the accident scene is being managed by emergency responders, who are working to ensure that no one else is trapped in the wreckage.
