The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, has charged the players of the Oluyole Warriors to end the team’s winless streak with a win over Bayelsa United on Sunday.

Addressing the players after Friday’s training session, ahead of the Matchday 17 clash, Akoro, as the 3SC helmsman is popularly called, said the time has come for the team to return smiles to the faces of their teeming supporters and fans.

Apparently aware of the expectations of the followers of the club, as hostilities resume in the league, Honourable Olaniyan said only a convincing win over the bottom placed Bayelsa United will be good enough.

Shooting Stars will hope to return to wining Ways after going six games without a victory, having lost four and drew two of their last six fixtures.

The coach Gbenga Ogunbote led technical crew, has been busy drilling the players in readiness for Sunday’s encounter against the Yenagoa based side at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex.

The Ibadan soccer lords were held 0-0 and 1-1 in their last two home matches by Heartland FC and Katsina United respectively and will therefore strive to avoid a repeat of those results.

The Oluyole Warriors are placed 13th on the log with 19 points, while Bayelsa United sits at the bottom with 14 points from 16 matches.
