There is calm in many parts of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital city amidst the protest.
Activities started low and slow, Thursday morning as air or uncertainty and fear envelopes major parts of the capital city.
As at the time of this report, many shops and businesses are only offering skeletal sales and services for the fear of uncertainty.
From Iyana-Ajia, Fashade, Egbeda, Maleke, Oluwo, Iyana Agbala, Alakia, enroute Iwo Road was calm.
Many filling stations were opened and selling fuel within the axis. No queue was observed.
Although the roads are deserted, more private cars are on the road than commercial vehicles.
A few people were noticed at various junctions and bus stops. The few commercial cab operators took advantage to hike their fares.
There were securiry operatives at various junctions, particularly, major areas.
The operatives on the road include, men of the Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun among others, as sighted by The Nation.
Schools, banks and major markets are also shut. Although, it was gathered that some traders are within the market, they did not open for full business operations for fear of the unknown.
As at the time of this reports, there is an increased vehicular movements on the road as many people are beginning to move around freely.
There are also increased police patrol vans at various junctions.
Inter state motor parks also are operating at shadow level. Vehicles and drivers are at the parks but there was low turnout of passengers.
