Oyo Speaker, congratulates Oyo HoR member on installation as Jagun Olubadan

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Akin Alabi, the lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, on his installation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Hon. Alabi’s elevation to the traditional title took place on Friday, at the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.

The ceremony was presided over by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Dr) Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.

Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin described the installation of Hon. Akin Alabi as Jagun Olubadan as a well-deserved honor and the recognition of his impact on Ibadanland.

“Hearty congratulations to my good friend, Hon. Akin Alabi, the new Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland. This title is not just a mark of prestige, but a call to greater service and leadership. I wish you success in your new traditional role as Jagun Olubadan.

“I celebrate with Hon. Alabi and his family, and I pray that his tenure as Jagun Olubadan brings prosperity, wisdom, and sustained growth to the land.

“Hon. Alabi has distinguished himself as a strong advocate of progress. His unwavering dedication to Ibadanland and Oyo State makes him deserving of this honor.”

Ogundoyin further commended Alabi’s commitment to youth empowerment, emphasizing that his new role within the Ibadan chieftaincy structure would serve as another avenue for him to advance the interests of the people.

“As Jagun Olubadan, I have no doubt that Hon. Akin Alabi will continue to be a bridge between tradition and governance, fostering development in Ibadanland and using his influence to further develop the great city. May your installation bring joy, peace and prosperity to you and the entire Ibadanland.” Ogundoyin stated.
