The Oyo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, has reiterated his commitment to promoting the rights of persons with disabilities through the Ministry’s platforms.

Prince Oyelade gave this assurance while hosting the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities (OYSAPWD), led by its Director General, Mr Ayodele Adekanbi in his office.

The Commissioner said plans to allocate airtime on the Ministry’s online radio, (Aloore radio) will be necessary in raising awareness about disability rights and promoting a culture of inclusivity.

During the visit, Prince Oyelade hinted that the OYSAPWD will be a major stakeholder at the launch of his book, “Know Oyo State,” further demonstrating his commitment to human rights and disability inclusion.

In his remarks, the Director General of the Agency, Mr Adekanbi, appreciated the commissioner for his unflinching support. He noted that the ministry’s support would help in addressing the knowledge gap among the public, particularly among persons with disabilities.

He further added that this development is a testament to the Commissioner’s dedication to promoting equality, justice, and dignity for all.

The visitors were received by top management staff of the ministry including the Permanent Secretary, Mr Rotimi Babalola and other directors.
