Oyo State Chapter of the Africa Action Congress (AAC) has described the recent coalition move as a gathering of failures, urging the residents to stand firm for true change.

The party in a statement by the state Chairman, Kayode Babayomi said the alliance of the oppressed is what the people need in the state and not “when failures move from one party to another to suit their desperation.”

Noting that the noise of coalitions should be discarded, the party said those involved are just empty vessels, aggrieved and desperately seeking power again.

The statement reads in part, “The alliance of the oppressed is what we need in Oyo State, not when failures move from one party to another to suit their desperation.

“The African Action Congress (AAC) urges the people of Oyo State not to panic, but to remain resolute by standing with the AAC. The noise of coalitions should be discarded. They are just empty vessels, aggrieved and desperately seeking power again.

“Their current vehicle is the dead party called ADC, as we predicted months ago. In their attempt to rebrand and present themselves as a better alternative to the people of Oyo State, we want you to know they are the same old, corrupt individuals who led us into the mess we are in today.

“AAC remains the only true alternative to our political and economic challenges in Oyo State and Nigeria at large. Our party is not for “special purposes.”

“We are for the people and with the people. We urge the people of Oyo State to continue joining our party in mass, so that together we can take back our state from the Makinde-led PDP government.

“The door is open to every genuine resident of Oyo State who is tired and desires a real, clear solution to the many problems created by these wrongdoers.

“We in the AAC are standing firmly with the oppressed Nigerians. We are the way, the truth, and the life. We will give life back to the Nigerian people. We call on the good people of Oyo State to join us, organize with us, and together we shall take back our country.”
