OPC at 30: A major milestone in Yoruba History Gani Adams says

All arrangements have been concluded for the 30th anniversary of the Oodua People’s Congress. The event is scheduled to hold today at the 10 Degrees Events Centre Oregun Ikeja Lagos.

 

Prominent dignitaries expected at the event include the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, who is the royal father of the day, former governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, is the chairman of the day while Prof. Olufemi Otubanjo is the Guest Speaker at the event.

 

The Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, who is the Chief Host at the event described the event as a major milestone in the history of the OPC, saying the trajectory of the Yoruba socio-cultural organization is morphed into different success story that needed to be told.

 

Adams said a book titled OPC: The Journey so far will be presented to the public as part of the day’s event.

 

Prof. Siyan Oyeweso is the reviewer of the book.

 

Earlier in the week, OPC made remarkable impact in Yoruba land when it commissioned the Oodua House, a one billion naira Legacy Project located at 14b Ezekiel Street, off Toyin Street Ikeja Lagos.

 

All the Southwest governors are expected at the event.
