Olubadan condoles Makinde over brothers demise

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye, has expressed his condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state over the death of his eldest brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.

Olubadan described the death of the deceased as sad and unfortunate noting that it is an inevitable end for all mortals.

The monarch, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Solomon Ayoade said available information in the pubic domain revealed that the deceased was a humble and accomplished individual.

Recall that Engineer Sunday Makinde, the elder brother of Governor Seyi Makinde died in the early hours of Friday at the age of 65.

He added that the deceased contributed positively to Ibadanland, Oyo state and Nigeria in general.

Olubadan said, “The Olubadan of Ibadanland is using this medium to sympathise with Governor Seyi Makinde, his immediate and extended family members over the sudden death of his eldest brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.

“Available information in the public domain revealed that Engineer Sunday Makinde contributed positively to the development of Ibadan, Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole.

“I therefore express my condolences the Governor urging him to take heart. It is always painful to loose a loved one but who are we to question God has done?

“It is my prayer that the gentle soul of the deceased will rest in perfect peace and God will grant the entire Makinde family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
