Makinde’s aide, Otunba Badejo charges parents on child education, installed as Bajimo of Isotun-Ijesha

The Director-General Protocol of Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Otunba Adegboyega Badejo has been installed as the new Bajimo of Isotun-Ijesha, Osun State.
This is as he challenge parents and guardians to prioritise the education of the children in the interest of securing their future.
Badejo spoke shortly after he, alonside his wife, Chief Olubunmi, were installed as the Bajimo and
Yeye Bajimo of Isotun-Ijesha, Atakumosa West Local Government, Osun State respectively by His Royal Majesty, Oba Professor Akinola Owosekun, Owosekun ll, the Asotun of Isotun.
Bajimo is the traditional title for the head of all the children (Princes and Princesesss) of the monarch of the ancient town of Isotun.
The new Bajimo Badejo advised parents to be serious with the education of their children, stressing that education remains only the best legacy parent can give their children that will pave ways for them globally.
He implored the people of the town to get their children educated while also calling on the Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state to catch up with the goodness in the twon by giving attention to the community in terms of infrastructural amenities.
The Bajimo said, “This honour will allow me to identify more with the less privileged in our suburbs
“This is Isotun which means “Isotuntun”, a traditional base. History has it that my great grandfather came out of this place, his mother was a Queen.
“In this locality, we have primary and secondary school, primary health care center, but so many things are still missing like good roads, water and other basic social amenities.
“It’s a call to duty and I want to seize this opportunity to call on the Osun State government to kindly consider infrastructure to this place which will be very resourceful.
“I’m aware that the Deeper Life Church have acquired a large some of land in this area to build their first University in Africa. I want the Osun State government to invest in the development of this place as it will soon be a place to covet globally.
“This awarded honour is a compliment effort of my assignment in the Oyo State government. I don’t have any other responsibilities than to support the downtrodden, so as I’m being effective here, I’ll also be effective in Oyo state.”
Speaking shortly after decorating Badejo and his wife with the insignia and instrument of office, the Asotun of Isotun, Oba Professor Akinola Owosekun, Owosekun ll commended Badejo for his many years of service to the family and community at large.
He said installing Badejo as the new Bajimo had no opposition as his antecedants, profile coupled with background convinced everyone that he was deserving of the new task.
He urged him to use the office to mobilise and monitor all his chìldren (Princes and Princesses) both home and abroad to be food ambassadors of royalty and the town as a whole.
He urged all the indigenes and residents of the town to give the new Bajimo all the needed support to discharge his duties while also urging them to cooperate with him.
Also speaking, the brother in-law to Chief Badejo, Elder Niyi Adediji commended the new title holder for his previois efforts and contributions to the development of the town expressing optimism that the new title will only spur him to do more.
He said,  “I believe it’s the beginning of better things to come for him and the family. He’s been a nice person, forthright, loves the community, and he’s been part and parcel of the community even before the chieftaincy title.”
The event was attended by well wishers from Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo State, Lagos and other part of the country.
