Ibadan Children Funfair Tragedy: Ibadan based radio owner reportedly unconscious, hospitalised

The Chairman of Ibadan based radio station (Agidigbo FM) that widely promoted the Children funfair which turned tragic, Oriyomi Hamzat is said to have been admitted in an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital city.

A source who pleaded anonymity said Hamzat has been unconscious since Wednesday and currently receiving medical care at a facility in Ibadan.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the situation, said the incident causing Hamzat’s condition was due to the tragedy that occurred at the aborted children funfair which left over 35 persons, mainly children, dead and others injured.

He said the radio station owner suffered shock which lead to his current state of unconsciousness.

“The chairman, Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, is currently unconscious and currently at an undisclosed hospital.

“Due to the tragic event that happened yesterday (Wednesday) he could not handle the shock and he passed out,” the source said.
