The Olubadan-elect, Oba Rasidi Ladoja on Monday said he told himself he was not ready for the stool when he heard of the news of the demise of the immediate past Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
Noting that he was shocked at the news, Ladoja said he had thought Oba Olakulehin was going to be on the stool for at least five to ten years.
He spoke when he addressed hundreds of family members, Baales, associates among others who thronged to his Ondo Street, Bodija private residence, Ibadan.
He returned to Bodija shortly after he was hosted at his Isale-Osi family compound where he went to immediately upon his return from Lagos.
He was out of Ibadan before the demise of Oba Olakulehin.
