GOC 2 Division Advocates for Enhancement Of Inter-agency Collaboration

The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Bamidele Alabi has today, 28th November 2023 advocated for the enhancement of Inter-Agency collaboration.

The GOC made this call when he received the Commandant and Team Leader Assistant Corp Marshal Chidiebere Nkwonta and Students of Senior Course 2 Federal Road Safety Corp Staff College on Study Tour to Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army Ibadan.

In a lecture with a theme “Enhancing Inter-Agency Cooperation Towards Improved Operational Efficiency in 2 Division Area of Responsibility” a thorough overview of 2 Division area of responsibility, threats and operational achievements of the Division as well as the synergy with other security agencies was highlighted.

Also, the lecture brought to fore the importance of fostering synergy to support socio-economic endeavors while highlighting the imperative for increased collaboration between the military and other Security Agencies. Furthermore the lecture equally emphasized on the exploration of opportunities for joint security operations, intelligent/ information gathering/sharing, and cooperative efforts, to address criminal activities effectively.

The lecture further observed the initiatives that have been implemented to closely monitor the actions of groups posing security threats in 2 Division Area of Responsibility and indeed Nigeria, noting that the Division has been collaborating with other Security Agencies in line with the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy which is to have a ” professional Nigerian Army ready to accomplish assigned missions within a joint environment in the defence of Nigeria”.

In attendance includes Commanders, Directors and Staff officers of Hq 2 Division.
