The Archbishop of Ibadan Province and Bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese, Dr Williams Aladekugbe has said that to overcome the mirage of challenges facing Nigeria as a nation, the citizens must have faith in God through Jesus Christ.

This is as he said the people must also believe in the ability of the government to bring about the desired positive change.

Enumerating the challenges to include hunger, anger, insecurity, unemployment among others, the cleric called on the citizens not to loose hope in Nigeria and it’s leadership.

He said, instead people must be strong and continue to believe that Nigeria will be great again as her challenges and her lost glory will be restored.

The Archbishop gave the charge during the rededication service of the Diocesan Women’s Guild at Bishop Oyebode Memorial Anglican Church (BOMAC), Agugu, Ibadan on Sunday.

Reading from the gospel of Matthew chapter 8: 2-3, the Archbishop said the leper was healed because of his faith.

According to Archbishop Aladekugbe both the leper and centurion in the text approached Jesus with humility and faith.

He further cited Abraham, Isaac and a woman with issue of blood who healed because of their believe.

He urged the people to stop running helter skelter looking for help, prosperity, healing and solution to challenges facing them, but to look up to Jesus as the solution to our problems.

The service was attended by clergy, their wives, invited guests from within and outside the Province.
