Collapsed building claims ten lives, seven rescued in Ibadan

No fewer than ten people have reportedly died after a building collapsed at Jegede area, Olunloyo in Ona Ara local government area of Oyo state on Thursday.

 

A source said three other.victims were rescued alive

 

The incident, it was gathered occured around 2AM on Thursday.

 

Confirming the incident, the General Manager, Oyo State Fire Services, Mr Akinyemi Akinyinka said they received a distress calls from the people in the neighborhood at 2am.

 

He said, “May I inform you that Oyo State Fire Services Agency received a distressed call at around 2AM this morning at Jegede Olunloyo area, Ibadan, of which 10 persons have been recovered from debris of collapsed building, while 7 persons rescued alive.Rescue operation is still going on.”
