News Attack On My Hotel Can’t Deter Me From Speaking Truth To Power That Be – Bullion CEO, Ajadi By editor - October 5, 2023 364 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp By Adeyinka Adeniran The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, owner of Bullion Hotel and other investments, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has said that the Tuesday attack on his Bullion Hotel located in Simawa Area of Ogun State cannot not deter him from championing the welfare of Nigerian youths and says the truth to the power that be. This is as he called for investigation into the persistent attacks on his hotel and his person as well as an investigation into the alleged role of the Shimawa Police Division in the latest attack. Speaking with Journalists on Wednesday, Ajadi, who is the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun state in 2023 general elections, said over 20 political thugs, allegedly led by three men in Police uniforms stormed his hotel on Tuesday morning attacking guests as well as staff adding that the incident took place around 8 a.m, leaving both staff and guests traumatized. He said there was a similar attack on September 5, 2023, when a group of thugs, some disguised as soldiers, stormed the Bullion Hotel. He however said that these incidents would not deter his efforts in championing the welfare of Nigerian youths as well as saying the truth to the power that be. He maintained that the CCTV footage shows clearly how the men in Police uniforms were molesting, harrassing and taking away valuables belonging to the hotel and the hotel security. According to him, “They can never stop my action as the voice of the Nigerian youths and I will continue to work for the progress and welfare of the poor and the vulnerable youths in Nigeria. “The Police officers that slapped the security guards while watching television should be penalized for such action.“These boys are always gathering within the secondary school in Shimawa initiating themselves into nefarious activities and terrorizing innocent people in the town”. He said the assailants during the attack identified themselves as boys of Alowonle of Shimawa.He alleged that Alowonle is the Chairman of the Motorcycle (Okada) riders in Simawa saying they launched a brutal attack on the hotel’s security guards, employees, and guests and brazenly looted personal belongings, creating an atmosphere of chaos and terror. Ajadi said “One of the thugs issued a chilling warning, saying, “We are still coming back to fight you, and we must kill at least three persons. “Shimawa belongs to the APC (All Progressives Congress), and anyone opposing this political party, including the hotel owner, Ajadi, should leave the area”. He listed the items looted during the attack to include handsets, substantial sum of money, and numerous Power Banks used for charging mobile devices.”Shockingly, five hotel security personnel were arrested during the commotion” he said. Also Speaking with journalists, Bullion Company’s Legal Adviser, Barrister Isaac Izunya condemned the alleged support given to the political thugs by some men in Police Uniforms. According to him, “In order to save the integrity of the Police, I am calling on the Commissioner of Police in Ogun state, and the Police Service Commission to investigate the alleged activities of some men in Police uniforms in the attack. He said the bad officers should be identified and punished to save the image and integrity of the Force and thereby properly secure the safety of life and properties of Nigerians.
