The General Overseer of the Redeemed Church of Go, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has harped on the importance of divine wisdom and direction in making decisions and leading others.

He said leaders who often rely on God’s guidance to fulfill their mission and vision always triumph and accomplish.

He spoke when he paid a visit to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade in his palace, Oyo.

Speaking, Pastor Adeboye said when a man’s heart is filled with the love of God, he delights in prayer and derives his happiness from it.

Citing the instances of Moses, King David and Solomon, the cleric described the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade as a “”divinely ordained Paramount Ruler and Head of Yorubaland who rules with God’s guidance and direction as reflected in his actions and deeds since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

“Your Imperial Majesty, I have been keenly following your activities and I can tell you that you are indeed peace loving, progressive and committed Royal Father towards unity, stability and the development of not only the Yorubaland, but the entire country.

“When a leader’s heart is filled with the love of God, he delights in prayer and he derives his happiness from it. Guidance and peace are covenant partners; so when you receive guidance be rest assured of surmounting all obstacles”.

He therefore prayed for the Alaafin and his family saying God Almighty would lead the Royal Father through the herculean task ahead of him, provides supernatural enablement that will empower him to go on his way, and that whatever God leads Alaafin into doing, he would continue to triumph.

In his remarks, Oba Owoade described Pastor Adeboye as *a renowned faithful minister of God who does not shun to declare to his hearers, all the counsel of God, seeks to find out acceptable words, delivers the truths of God in such a plain and easy manner, that the weak and ignorant may understand, and shun all evil ways.

Oba Owoade recalled when he attended one of the crusades of Pastor Adeboye in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, before he became a monarch, disclosing that he sat at the back during the crusade where Pastor Adeboye was praying that those at the back seats would be recognised, brought forward, and their glory would shine for the world to see.

“That prayer paid off for me today as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo. As a traditional ruler who is a custodian of customs and traditions and your distinguished Minister of God, we should be able to use that religion we hold on to, though in different forms, for cohesion, unity, peace, stability and development of the country.

“As a great Minister of God, you are one who endeavours singly to eye the glory of his Lord in all your ministrations, wholly devoted to God service, and the good of the souls committed to your trust. You carry your people upon your breast before the Lord, and has an inward heart concern for their spiritual and eternal welfare.”
