No fewer than 915 students of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo have benefitted from the Federal government student loan scheme, Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
The Media and Public Relations Officer of the instituion, Wale Adeoye made the disclosure on behalf of the school in a statement.
Expressing the appreciation of the University to NELFUND, the Spokesman also congratulated the students on the success.
The statement reads in part, “This is to inform the university community that the university is in receipt of the loan funds for 915 students of our university.
“Our university is grateful to NELFUND for this support to our students. The university also congratulates these 915 students.
“The loan beneficiaries will be invited to a meeting by the university next week for appropriate documentation and refund the students who already paid the school fees for 2023/2024 session.
“Students have the alternative of receiving their money back or use it to pay for the 2024/2025 session school fees.
“It is hoped that our students will also apply for 2024/2025 loan when NELFUND opens its platform for the session.
“Meanwhile, all students are implored to pay their school fees for the 2024/2025 session as soon as possible. Only students who have paid school fees will be allowed into the lecture and examination hall.”
