2027: why we are pushing for Makinde’s presidency- Group

A socio-political group, Progressive Youths for Makinde’s Presidency 2027, has described Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde as Nigeria’s best hope for the 2027 elections.

 

The group made this known in Ibadan on Saturday, during during the unveiling of the Southwest Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat, built in honour of the late former Southwest Chairman of the party, Hon. Soji Adagunodo.

 

In an interview, the national convener of the group, Prince Christopher Odianarewo, praised Makinde’s leadership and accomplishments in governance, highlighting his contributions to education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in the state.

 

He emphasised that his track record positions him as a strong candidate capable of addressing the nation’s pressing challenges.

 

He also called for unity among political stakeholders and urged citizens to support leaders committed to fostering sustainable development and effective governance as Nigeria approaches the 2027 elections.

 

Odianarewo said: “Governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated exemplary leadership and a commitment to the welfare of his constituents.

 

“His achievements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure are not just commendable; they set a benchmark for what true governance should look like.

 

“As Nigeria looks forward to 2027 elections, it is crucial that we rally behind leaders who are dedicated to sustainable development.

 

“Makinde’s track record positions him as the best hope for our nation, capable of tackling the pressing challenges we face.

 

“Unity among political stakeholders is essential. We must come together to support those who prioritise effective governance and the betterment of our society.”
