The monarch spoke on Thursday while narrating the challenges of his communities and appealing to the governor for positive considerations.

He said “Bad roads is the biggest headache in our area. All the roads that link our town with other places are very vad and some of them have become impassable. Ogbooro to Agbonle, Saki to Agbonle, lgboho to Agbonle and llesa Bariba to Agbonle.

“Some of these roads have become death traps that hinder the progress and development of our economy. They are obstacles to movement of farm products as we are farmers.

“We appeal to Governor Makinde to fulfill his promise during electioneering to rehabilitate the roads. We believe that God will help him to do it.

“During the electioneering, the governor’s campaign train passed through Saki – Agbonle road and was stopped at a village called Adeleke. They showed him the water that they drink, immediately he approved that a borehole be sunk for them.

“He also gave them a generator to be pumping the water. The road is not more than 24 kilometres but it becomes impassable during the raining season.”

He said further, “Another matter of importance to us in this town in this town is that the traditional ruler deserves to wear beaded Crown like its contemporaries all over the state. We have written to the government on the matter and we expect a favourable reply for approval. We plead with Governor Makinde to approve it.

“My advice for the chairman of our local government is to rehabilitate our roads. There is need for cooperation to make our areas develop. The chairman needs to ensure that whatever work they do in the local government, they carry the traditional rulers along to make it faster.”

He appealed to the citizens of the ancient town home and abroad to come to the aid of the community in teems of facilitating and attracting development.

“Concerning Agbonle indigenes, they should not forget home. They should be involved in the town’s development. Let them bring their friends. We have enough land for them to establish industries.

“At this juncture, I have to thank all chiefs, associations, youths, indigenes, strangers and sojourners for their cooperation to ensure that things are going on well. I implore them to cooperate with Governor Makinde’s administration because it’s a considerate and s merciful government.

“They should also cooperate with the authorities of Saki East local government. They should also work for Agbonle ‘s development. If they do so, we will become a spectacle that people with be coming to watch”, he added.
