The Bishop, Ibadan North Anglican Diocese, Dr Williams Aladekugbe on Sunday said Nigerians have reasons to be grateful to the Almighty God despite mirage of situations they find themselves.

The Cleric gave the charge during the 80th birthday anniversary thanksgiving of Ven. (Dr) Moses Akinlawon at the chapel of resurrection, university of Ibadan.

In a statement by the Diocesan Communicator, Comrade Ayoade Olugbemiga, Bishop Aladekugbe admonished the celebrant, the congregation and by extension all Nigerians to be grateful to God not minding the present situation at hand.

Drawing his message from Psalm 103 where David said, “bless the Lord, o my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy name”, the Cleric said “we need to be grateful to God who forgiveth all our iniquities, heals all our diseases, redeemeth us from destruction, crowneth us with loving kindness and tender mercies.

“If we continue to appreciate our creator, He is ready and prepared to meet us at the point of our needs as the heart of kings and rulers is in His hands”.

He charged Nigerians to remain focused on what God has done for us particularly creating us as human beings and not lesser animals or non-living things and our deplorable conditions will be improved, saying “as we give God our lifetime, He will take care of us.”

The event had in attendance dignitaries from all works of life, family, friends, relatives and well wishers of the celebrant.
