A former member of Oyo State House of Assembly, representing ATISBO/Saki-East Constituency, Ayobami Ojo, on Sunday, 10th March, 2024, donated three campaign buses to ATISBO, Saki-East, Saki-West Federal Constituency, to aid his party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, chances in the April 27th Local Government election in the State.
Donating the vehicles shortly after the consistency’s stakeholders meeting held at IPMAN hall, Isale Taba, Saki, Ayobami Ojo, who is the party’s Coordinator for old Ifedapo Federal Constituency in the next Local Government poll, described his gesture as his individual’s efforts to assist his party mobilise the electorate for a resounding victory ahead of the election. He claimed that he was confident candidates of the party in the 33 council’s that make up the Federal Constituency, ATISBO, Saki-East and Saki-West, would crush to victory, as the good works of Governor Seyi Makinde has made the electioneering campaign easier.
Speaking earlier while the stakeholders meeting lasted, PDP State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, warned members across the state to always respect the party’s institution, insisting that party’s supremacy is sacrosanct.
While congratulating candidates of the party in the forthcoming council poll, Adeleke described them as winners-in waiting.
He praised Ayobami Ojo and others for helping the party with their resources, calling on other party faithful to always remember to contribute their quotas towards the uplifting of PDP in the state.
Many party leaders graced the occasion including the immediate past Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Oyo State, Hon. Barrister Niyi Farinto; Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Oyo State, Hon. Niyi Adebisi; former Commissioner for Special Duties, Oyo State, Hon. Siju Lawal; former Minority Leader in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Rafiu Adekunle and Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor, Hon. Waheed Oluwakemi.
Others are the former Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Saki-West Local Government, Hon. Hammed Gbadamosi; former Transition Committee Chairman for Saki-East Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Ojo; Mr Kola Olabiyi; Administrator, Wewe LCDA, Saki, and PDP chairmanship candidate in the April election for Saki-West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Akinola, his counterparts from ATISBO, Hon. Bashir Alade and Saki-East Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Adedokun.
