Following the unfortunate incident that claimed innocent lives and destroyed property in Old Bodija, Area of the Ibadan, Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde on Wednesday signed into law Executive Order 001, 2024.
The law according to the governor is on the safe handling and storage of harmful substances in Oyo state.
The governor in a brief signing ceremony which held at his Private office said the move became imperative in the light of the unfortunate incident at Bodija where explosives were stored in a residential area.
He said with the new law, such an incident will never reoccur in the state.
