Oyo Assembly hails Makinde’s appointment of ex-lawmakers as SA’s

The Oyo State House of Assembly has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde for appointing three immediate past members of the House as Special Assistants on Federal Constituencies.

 

In a recent appointment reeled out by the governor, Hon. Ayo Fatokun, Hon. Francis Akinajo and Hon. Hakeem Adedibu were appointed as Special Assistants on Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency and Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Federal Constituency respectively.

 

The House described the appointment of the trio as a further demonstration of Makinde’s resolve to reward loyalty and commitment, adding that it was well deserved.

 

The lawmakers gave the commendations in a statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Waheed Akintayo (Oluyole State Constituency).

 

The statement read “The Oyo State House of Assembly wishes to commend His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde for appointing three members of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly as Special Assistants on Federal Constituencies.

 

“We are happy that Governor Makinde recognises the commitment and loyalty of these esteemed personalities to their various constituencies and by extension to our dear party in Oyo State. This is a testament to the exceptional leadership qualities of the Governor.

 

“We are also happy to congratulate our own Hon. Ayo Fatokun, Hon. Francis Akinajo and Hon. Hakeem Adedibu on their appointment. They are round pegs in round holes as their contributions to the success of the 9th Assembly were outstanding.

 

“We are convinced that the trio will bring their political, social and administrative experiences to bear in their new positions. Congratulations to Hon. Fatokun, Hon Akinajo and Hon. Hakeem Adedibu once again.”
