Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has charged all Nigerians irrespective of creed to get more creative as a means of tacking the current economic challenges facing the country.

This is as he prayed and expressed optimism that God will help the political leaders come up with creative ideas and policies that would cause best decisions to be made to enhance the economy of the nation.

Oyo State Chairman of PFN, Reverend Samson Ajetomobi gave the charge while talking to newsmen shortly after his inauguration for a second term as the helmsman at the affairs of the Fellowship.

Ajetomobi who is also the President of the Men of Issachar Vision further urged Christians to get more involved in politics and decisions making in the country saying, their involvement would give them the opportunity to make the difference that are so much desire.

He said “Our commitment is to do better than we did last time. In leadership trust, it is doing more and the reward for doing something well is more work. So we trust God to help us to do more.

“The message is when the land is tough and policies are not helping economic conveniences, then we become more creative. There’s always a way, and when pressure increases, people think better and get better options.

“So we believe, while we pray that God would visit our land and nations, He will give creative ideas to our leaders to make best decisions that will enhance the economy generally, individual citizens should also start to think about what they can do to make life more comfortable around them.”

Speaking on his plans for the tenure, he vowed to use his re-election as PFN chairman to focus on building stronger churches noting that if individual churches are strong, then PFN as an association will be able to do so much more.

He assures that the PFN in Oyo under his watch will concentrate more on outreach than inreach in order to open people’s eyes to exploring alternative opportunities which they would under normal circumstances not pay attention to.

He added that the reason for the shift of focus on outreaching is because of the state of things across the nation.

According to the Oyo PFN Chairman, to build stronger churches, strong leaders must be built and to build strong leaders, a lot of instructions and guidance would be involved, adding that he would start with assisting churches that are not registered to become stronger and to know their place in the nation.

In his sermon titled “Make ministry challenge a well”, the PFN Oyo State Inauguration committee Chairman, Archbishop Joseph Ojo noted that there’s no situation that cannot be turned around for the better just as it was in the scriptures.

He urged Reverend Ajetumobi to always consult the elders of the fellowship whenever a crucial decision is to be made just as Prophet Elisha sat with elders of the land of Israel during the famine that almost destroy the nation.

Archbishop Ojo encouraged Nigerians to keep praying for the nation as the current situation has not become so bad to the point of eating one’s children like it happened in the land of Israel in the ancient time, noting that there’s hope for Nigeria.

Dignitaries present at the inauguration include PFN National Vice President Southwest, Archbishop John Osa-Oni, Apostle Sunday Popoola, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, representatives of security heads among others.
