The League Of Veteran Journalists (LVJ), Oyo State Council, will on Thursday, 28th of May, 2026 elect it’s new executives.
According to a press release signed by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Shola Akinuli and the Secretary, Omodele Idris, the election will hold at the LVJ House, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan at 2PM.
It added that the new executives thah wpuld emerge will be sworn – in immediately after.
The statement called on all interested candidates interested in any of the elective poaitions to obtain their nomination forms at the LVJ House , NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
It listed the elective positions to include: Chairman, Vice – Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Secretary, Social Secretary, Internal Auditor are Welfare Officer.
The statement however noted that submission of nomination forms will close on 30th April, 2026, while campaigns will start on 1st May, 2026 and end on 21st May, 2026.
