Olubadan, Ladoja, Adelabu, Folarin attend Agodi Eid

In what could be described as political realignment ahead of the 2027 governorship elections, political heavyweights across party divides on Friday shun their political differences as they observed the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Agodi Prayer ground.

For the first time in a long time, the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu and the 2023 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Senator Teslim Folarin among other political gladiators offered prayers at the Agodi prayer ground.

A former governor of the State and the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja was also in attendance.

Ladoja also represented the Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin at the prayer ground.

The former governor arrived the ground in company of the former Senate leader, Folarin and other aides.

Oyo State Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal led top government functionaries including Commissioners, Special Advisers among other Muslim members of the cabinet.

The prayer also recorded large number of party supporters and party fateful.

Other notable individuals at the eid include the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Dahud Makanjuola (D-Damak) among others.

The Chief Imam who led the prayers in a short sermon called on the people to emulate the virtues of the prophet who sacrifice with faith in government.

He called on the people to support the government at all levels with prayers and faith, assuring that things will soon begin to take the right shape.
