A cleric, Apostle Johncrownfit Kayode Anifowose has called on the residents of Oyo State to take advantage of an ongoing movement to join a trail of transforming the nation.
Anifowose who is the state Coordinator, The Nigeria Project (TNP) said the group is concerned about the need to rebuild the nation in the interest of present and future generation.
He said, TNP is saddled with the responsibilities by God to enthrone patriotic Nigerians in each state of the federation, irrespective of creed into various political and appointed positions, both home and abroad, with the view to build “A New Salvaged, Developed and Transformed Nigeria,”.
The desired New Nigeria, according to him, will be devoid of hardship, poverty, hunger, underdevelopment, ethnic and religious killings, gender, racial and ethnic inequalities in all the states of the federation.
Anifowose said “May the labors of our heroes past, present, and our collective effort never be in vain in Jesus Name.
“As we may all know, the 2027 election is far approaching, as such, TNP is saddled with the responsibilities by God to enthrone patriotic Nigerians in each state of the federation (both Muslims and Christians) into various political and appointed positions, both home and abroad, with the view to building a new salvaged, developed and transformed Nigeria that will be devoid of hardship, poverty, hunger, underdevelopment, ethnic and religious killings, gender, racial and ethnic inequalities in all the states of the federation.
“For the onus to build this long-awaited “New Nigeria” is not bequitted upon the shoulder of any leader or movement in the nation, but upon the shoulders of our Principal (General lbrahim Babangida) and his co-supporters of this great vision, in the persons of Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar and many other former national leaders yet to be mentioned, as well upon the shoulders of we, the members of this great revolutionary movement (TNP), founded for the salvation of Nigeria.”
He said further “Consequent upon the foregoing, I enjoined every citizens of Oyo state who is interested in joining the Lord, our Principal and his co-supporters as well as many former leaders to join this train (the ark of Noah) which is on the mission to build a new Nigeria of our dreams.
“A new Nigeria of our aspiration and hope. A new Nigeria that affords our children, wives, mother and fathers, brothers and sisters, uncles and aunties, a Nigeria they could lived in, work, move around, eat and drink in, without any oppression or intimidation, or the fear of being kidnapped or killed because of their tribe, ethnic, religion or gender.
“A new Nigeria where there will be: stable electricity, 21st century free education services, 21st century free healthcare services, 21st century good road network.
“A new Nigeria that reduces poverty to the barest minimum in order to bring crime, violence and killings which is borne and caused by poverty and hardship into utter extinction in our nation.
“This is the goal of f our founder and principal, his co-supporters and many former leaders. And together, we can achieve this goal.”
