Recall that the Seyi Makinde administration had, since inception of office in 2019, distributed about 200 operational vehicles to security agencies to strengthen the security architecture of the state.

Addressing journalists shortly after the handing over of 40 patrol vans to the Director-General, Oyo Joint Security Task Force team, codenamed Operation Burst, Colonel Oladipo Ajibola (rtd) on Thursday, the Acting Governor said the distribution is in furtherance of Makinde’s policy to protect lives and properties.

Lawal added that another tranche of vehicles would also be distributed to security agencies across zones in Oyo state as soon as possible to further strengthen the security of the state.

Expressing gratitude over the distribution, the DG Operation Burst, who commended the Governor Makinde for the donation, noted that the security architecture of Oyo state will continue to remain intact.

He assured that Operation Burst will continue to be loyal, dedicated, and continue to give their best in ensuring that the issue of crimes and criminalities is reduced to the barest minimum.
