The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly,  Hon Adebo Ogundoyin has commended the electoral umpire, Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has commended what he described as the peaceful, transparent and fair process adopted in the ongoing local government elections in the state.
He said the process is in line with the plans nd promise of the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration to ensure a free, fair and transparent election.
He spoke shortly after casting his vote at Ward 2, Polling unit 5, Anko Eruwa on Saturday.
Ogundoyin said “I have to be honest with you. I give kudos to OYSIEC for organising such a very seamless election. Although this is a local government election, but you can see that it is coming to a level that we all expect it to be.
“If all local governments are run this way, there will be no point for litigation because as you can see that it is peaceful, free and fair.

“There is no need to take any life over any political interest. We are very happy and ecstatic about the turnout of today’s voting process and I am sure that all the parties involved I’m sure will be equally satisfied according to what we have seen here today.

“The election has been smooth. This is in line with what Governor Seyi Makinde has been preaching that election must be free and fair and we thank God and even OYSIEC for their efforts.

“We haven’t recorded any issues, crisis or challenges anywhere in Ibarapa zone and we hope that the process will continue.”
